I came across this post on the Harper's Bazaar website and had to share. Here are some new year's style resolutions from some of the most influential international stylists.
Annabel Tollman
"My style resolution for the new year is to actually wear my good clothes. We all have closets packed full of loveliness but only wear a fraction of the sum total — and I'm certainly guilty of always reaching for the same tried-and-tested look when I'm dashing through the door. So I'm going to try on my looks ahead of time, stop being lazy and start enjoying my clothes!"
Marina Muñoz
"My new style resolution is to wear more skirts. Soon, I will transition from my daily uniform of pants and a tailored men's shirt to a sleek and sophisticated pencil skirt paired with a masculine top. It' ultra-chic, yet effortless, and in my case, worn with a fedora."
Melanie Ward
"Develop your own fashion formula, know your proportions and be true to yourself. Make it more about clothes than fashion trends. Prints may be on the runways, but don't wear something that overwhelms you. I personally prefer to notice the person before the dress. Keep prints simple and classic. Have fun with fashion and love yourself."
June Ambrose
"Going into the new year, I, and women all over, need to indulge in more colour. I've been guilty of gravitating toward black and muted colours. However, I've become immersed in the idea of mixing colours, which we've come to know as colour blocking. It's an instant mood changer and visually provocative. It was a huge hit this year, and I plan to take the trend into the new year."
What are some of your new year's image and style resolutions?
