Confidence Boosters

Naturally most of us have bad-hair days, ugly days and days when we don't want to set foot outside the house. But most of the time we just have to suck it up and get over it. Personally this usually happens on days when my self-confidence is a little low.

Self-confidence comes naturally to some people, others not so much. Here are some simple tips that if followed regularly will boost your confidence and minimise the amount of bad days in your month.

  1. Update your hair. Many people, especially women don't change their hair style for five or more years at a time. Getting a new cut or colour gives you a fresh new look that can help you feel younger and more attractive.
  2. For the ladies, get new makeup. Work with a makeup artist who can show you the best colours and application methods to accent your natural beauty. These professionals have many tricks to help you look vibrant.
  3. Get in shape. If you've been lazy with your exercise regime, start a new one! Working out with others or with a trainer helps you feel so much better about yourself. Plus, exercise relieves stress and releases endorphins that help you feel good naturally.
  4. Pamper yourself. If you want to be treated right, start by treating yourself well! From a massage, to a manicure, to a bubble baths with candles, do something special for yourself. The very act of self-care improves self-esteem.
  5. Stand tall. By practicing good posture, you'll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You'll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.
  6. Hire an image consultant. If you're not sure of the right colours and clothing styles that best suit you. You may even want to completely update your look, then an image consultant (that's me) is the best person to help you. It's amazing what the right clothing can do for your confidence.
